The boys basketball team played its final game of the year while boys soccer is getting into midseason form. Here’s a look at what happened for the Panthers this week, as well as what’s coming up in the days to come.
The Panthers finished their season with a 59-37 road win over Arlington Tuesday night. Junior guard Tyrik Price closed things out emphatically, going off for a season-high 31 points. Junior point guard Dylan Thomas added 12 points. Meanwhile, Paschal played tough on the defensive end, not allowing a single player for the Colts to score in double digits.
Paschal (11-14, 4-9 Dist. 4-6A) missed the playoffs, but will return the core of what was a young squad this season. Ten of the Panthers’ 14 players were juniors this year, and they lose just two seniors.
The Paschal boys soccer team notched two straight wins this week after losing two the week before. The Panthers shut out Arlington Bowie 2-0 on Feb. 13, then dismantled Arlington 4-1 Tuesday night.
Paschal (7-3-1, 5-2-0) currently sits in third place in the district standings with seven games remaining.
