Friends of Olivia Caridi confirmed that the TCU alumna will be on the next season of “The Bachelor.”

The Bachelor has not published an official list of women who will be on the show yet, but Reality Steve, a site known for publishing correct spoilers for “The Bachelor”, has leaked her name as being one of the contestants for Ben Higgins’ season.

Friends of Caridi are confirming this information.

“She told me a couple months ago she was going on the show but asked me to keep it a secret. People couldn’t find out for a while,” said Alex Apple, a former TCU student and friend of Caridi.

Before she left to go on “The Bachelor”, Caridi was working as a news anchor at WCYB in Bristol, Tennessee. “She decided to leave that job when she found out about the show. It was her sister that originally applied for her,” Apple said.

The news about Caridi being on the show is starting to spread around campus and some students are getting excited about watching a former TCU student on the show.

“I do think I’ll be more inclined to watch it if I know someone on it because you have that personal feeling,” sophomore journalism major Kacey Bowen said. “I don’t know Olivia [personally] but I know she went to TCU so it’s cool that we have that connection.”

Caridi flew to Los Angeles Monday after attending the TCU/SMU game last weekend.

The next season of “The Bachelor” is set to premiere in January.
