It’s all part of “Modern ’til Midnight,” an annual event that has brought eclectic music mixed with artwork to Fort Worth for the past 13 years.
The event is scheduled for Saturday from 6 p.m. until midnight.
This year’s theme, “Beats and Baroque,” will feature a variety of fine arts experiences, including an eclectic lineup of live music and spotlight tours in the galleries. Other entertainment will include a DJ for dancing and prizes.
The night is in conjunction with the exhibition “Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic.” Throughout the night, the exhibition will be on display, as well as selected works from The Modern’s permanent collection.
Live music begins at 6:45 p.m. According to The Modern’s website, music will be played outside around The Modern’s reflecting pond.
The full list of performers includes Kirk Thurmon, Kaela Sinclair, Sam Lao, Valise and Ronnie Heart. There will also be a special appearance from the Fort Worth Opera.
While listening to live music, attendees can grab a meal at Café Modern and the Lobby Bar.
In addition to Modern appetizers and Café Modern food service in the restaurant, attendees can share a picnic basket for two for $40 at Café Modern.
It costs $25 to purchase tickets at the door and $20 if tickets are purchased in advance. The event is free for Modern members. Advance tickets are available for purchase online.
