Sophomore Emma Heckendorn takes a shot against Oklahoma on Oct. 25.

Three members of the Horned Frog soccer team were named to All-Big 12 Conference teams Monday.

Senior Bobbi Clemmer earned first team All-Big 12 Conference honors, while junior Michelle Prokof and sophomore Emma Heckendorn were named second team All-Big 12 conference.

Clemmer started 17 of the 18 games on the team’s regular-season schedule and clocked 1,494 minutes of playing time, third among all players this season.

Prokof led the Frogs this year with 34 shots, 18 of which were on goal, and nine goals on the season. Her nine goals put her third overall in the conference.

It was the the second time that that Clemmer and Prokof were named to first and second team All-Big 12 Conference, respectively. Clemmer was named to the Big 12-All Freshman team in 2012 and last season she earned second team All-Big 12 Conference. Prokof garnered second team All-Big 12 Conference honors in 2012.

For Heckendorn, it was her first time receiving all conference honors. The sophomore played in 15 games this season, recording four goals and three assists.

The honors will serve a morale boost as the Frogs head to the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri, this week. The Frogs open tournament play against Baylor on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m..
