Tuesday night’s game between TCU (14-5) and the Abilene Christian Wildcats (9-10) was postponed due to severe weather in the Abilene area with the Horned Frogs leading 2-0.

The game will pick up with two outs and a runner on third base in the top of the fifth inning. Per NCAA rules, a game must have completed five full innings before it can be ruled a finished contest.

Sophomore Dalton Horton got the start for the Frogs, tossing 2.2 shutout innings while surrendering three hits and a walk with two strikeouts.

After only 41 pitches and with two runners on base in the third, head coach Jim Schlossnagle called on freshman Trey Morris out of the bullpen. Morris got an out to escape the third before throwing a scoreless fourth.

TCU scored a single run in both the first and second innings. Senior Cam Warner doubled with one out in the first before stealing third and scoring on junior Evan Skoug’s sacrifice fly. Senior Elliott Barzilli hit his third home run of the season with one down in the second, putting the Frogs ahead 2-0.

The game will resume on Tuesday, May 2 in Fort Worth. Abilene Christian was already scheduled to play TCU that day in the second game of a home-and-home series.

The Horned Frogs return to action on Friday at Lupton Baseball Stadium for a Big 12 Conference series against the Oklahoma State Cowboys (15-6). Game one is set for Friday at 6:30 p.m.
