TCU fans that wear purple on Fridays receive discounts and offers from different partners in Fort Worth during football season. If planned wisely, a fan can receive discounts all day.

In partnership with TCU and LComm Marketing, Fort Worth restaurants and retailers provide discounts every Friday during football season.

Fans can begin their Friday at Chick-fil-A in Montgomery Plaza with a free sausage muffin with a purchase of hash browns and a beverage.

For lunch, there are many options. Go Purple Friday offers are at many locations around campus. Some favorite locations for TCU fans on Fridays are Buffalo Bros, where fans receive half off an appetizer or dessert, and The Social House, which provides 20 percent off all their lunch meals. If fans are craving tacos, most head to Torchy’s Tacos where they receive 15 percent off entire purchases.

R Taco and Press Cafe are go-to spots for happy hour. R Taco sells $1 margaritas and $2 purple margaritas, and Press Cafe offers $3 canned beers to fans wearing purple.

A lot of restaurants and retailers participate because of the impact TCU has on the Fort Worth community. MAX’s Wine Dive located on West 7th Street offers fans who wear purple 15 percent off their meal.

“Texas Christian University and its students are a huge part of our Fort Worth community,” Chad Wherry, MAX’s Wine Dive general manager said. “This promotion was created to show our support for the students, staff and administrators and what they bring to our community.”

Go Purple Fridays also features the street team that goes around Fort Worth with SuperFrog to pass out free gear and take pictures with fans. Every Monday, the pictures are uploaded to Facebook for fans to share.

Go Purple Friday officially kicked off on Sept. 1 before TCU played Jackson State and will continue through Nov. 23. If the No. 6 Horned Frogs qualify for the Big 12 Conference Championship game in December and/or a bowl game, Go Purple Friday will be extended until those games are completed.
