One of the successful couples from the reality show “The Bachelor” spoke to students about their time on the show and life after it ended.

TheEnd brought Sean and Catherine Lowe, who have been married for four years, to speak during Live Free Weekend, where students were encouraged to take a 72-hour pledge to forgo drugs and alcohol.

Sean had two pieces of advice for the crowd of college students: enjoy the experience and don’t slack off in class.

The couple met on season 17 of “The Bachelor”, which premiered Jan. 7, 2013.

“I was excited because this was one of the first seasons that I watched of ‘The Bachelor’ and I thought it was really entertaining,” said Kip Ambrose, a sophomore business major. “It was cool to hear about behind the scenes stuff and what we don’t see on TV.”

Since their season, the Lowes have stayed pretty busy by starting three companies and raising two sons.

“We are going to have some more [kids],” Sean said. “We know we want to adopt and then Catherine has been kind of putting the idea out there that she would also like to try to have a girl.”

Sean’s education at Kansas State University and what he accredits as his entrepreneurial mindset has helped him and Catherine launch three businesses after the show. They have started Home by Sean and Catherine Lowe, Loco, Catherine’s personal luxury stationery brand, and a dating app.
