Both TCU men’s and women’s golf traveled out of Fort Worth this week but each finished 12th in their tournaments.

The men’s team traveled to North Plains, Oregon, to compete in the Nike Collegiate Invitational, and battled through cold temperatures.

TCU shot 8-over 292 on the last day to finish with an overall score of 11-over 863.

Big 12 opponent Oklahoma finished in first place and swept the team and single titles.

First-year Gustav Frimodt had the Frogs’ best round of the day on Tuesday, shooting 1-over 71. He led the team with an overall score of 1-over 214, a season-best, and tied for 30th place.

Junior Thomas Allkins finished tied for 42nd place with a score of 3-over 216, while sophomore Justin Gums tied for 44th place at 4-over 217.

The women’s team traveled to Norman, Oklahoma, for the Schooner Fall Classic.

First-year Trinity King carded a 2-under-par 68 to lead TCU in final-round play. She recorded three birdies and par on 14 holes and finished tied for 28th place at 5-over 215.

Fellow first-year Jennie Park also tied for 28th at 5-over 215. Park finished with an even-par 70 with three birdies Sunday.

Valeria Pacheco had a career-best round of 70 Sunday for the Horned Frogs. She had a pair of birdies over her final seven holes with a par on 15 holes.

Sabrina Iqbal birdied her opening hole of the final round and totaled three birdies en route to a 72, while Grace Do posted par on 14 holes.

The Horned Frogs shot even-par as a team, making it their best round of the tournament over the final 18 holes.

Both teams will be back in action Oct. 11. The men’s team will travel to Hockley, Texas to compete in Big 12 Match Play while the women’s team will travel to Austin to compete in the Betsy Rawls Invitational.
