Second whistleblower comes forward in the impeachment inquiry 

A second whistleblower has come forward backing claims that Trump was working with Ukraine to interfere with Joe Biden’s campaign, according to CNN.

Attorney Mark Zaid told CNN he is now representing a second whistleblower who works in the intelligence community and has first hand knowledge that supports the claims of the first whistleblower.

The initial complaint was that Trump was secretly communicating with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to work against Biden in the 2020 election.

Bernie Sanders released from the hospital after heart attack 

Bernie Sanders was released from a Las Vegas hospital after suffering a heart attack last week. 

He and his advisers waited three days to release any information on his heart attack, according to The New York Times.

Sanders, 78, entered the hospital Oct. 1 where doctors put two stents in his blocked artery.

“After two and a half days in the hospital, I feel great, and after taking a short time off, I look forward to getting back to work,” Sanders said on Twitter.

An explosion at Oktoberfest injures five people

An electrical vault exploded and injured five people Sunday during an Oktoberfest celebration in Southern California, according to CNN.

A series of three explosions occurred at the Old World restaurant, injuring two firefighters and three civilians. 

Investigators and the Southern California Edison power company are investigating the explosion while the restaurant is temporarily closed.

Kansas City club shooting leaves five people dead

Gunmen at a club in Kansas City, Kansas killed four people and injured five. Authorities are looking for two suspects, according to NBC. 

Two men returned to the private club Tequila KC with handguns after a prior altercation and shot nine people.

The five injured survivors are in stable condition in the hospital. 

According to NBC, Thomas Tomasic of the Kansas City Police Department said this was likely an isolated incident.

“We don’t feel that these suspects are going to go out and do this again,” Tomasic said.
