Andrew Cuomo directed health officials to prioritize relatives’ health

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is said to have told health officials to prioritize the testing of his family and others close to his administration during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Fox News.

Cuomo’s brother (CNN anchor Chris Cuomo), mother and one of his sisters are all said to have been given special access to COVID-19 testing.

The tests administered to Cuomo’s close circle are said to have been called “critical samples” and processed before other tests.

Cuomo administration officials have denied all claims.

Biden assigns Harris to oversee crisis at US-Mexican border

President Joe Biden has assigned Vice President Kamala Harris with overseeing the inflow of migrants at the US-Mexican border, according to CNN.

This is the first major issue Biden has assigned to his VP.

Harris plans to focus on controlling the flow of migrants and developing strong relationships with Central American countries based on “respect and shared values.”

Man arrested at Atlanta grocery store for paraphernalia

A 22-year-old man who carried a rifle into an Atlanta grocery store was arrested on Wednesday, according to NBC News.

The man was later found to have six guns and body armor on him and comes days after two mass shootings in the U.S..

No one was injured and the motive is unclear.

The suspect, Rico Marley, was booked in the Fulton County Jail on 11 charges.

North Korea launches two ballistic missiles

North Korea has launched two ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan, according to ABC News.

The type of ballistic missiles is unknown. However, one was a medium-range ballistic missile and the other is believed to be a new variant.

The missiles traveled approximately 450 kilometers with an altitude of 60 kilometers.

United States officials are scheduled to discuss the situation in Washington next week.
