Mass shooting in Sacramento

Following Sunday’s mass shooting in Sacramento, California, where six people were killed and 12 others were wounded, police have said they have a suspect who they have arrested, according to CNN

Sacramento police had a press release that identified 26-year-old Dandrae Martin as a “related suspect,” where he was taken into custody on accounts of assault and illegal firearm charges.

The six victims who were identified as dead on Sunday, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office were Johntaya Alexander, 21,  Melinda Davis, 57, Sergio Harris, 38, Joshua Hoye-Lucchesi, 32, Yamile Martinez-Andrade, 21 and Devazia Turner, 29

Despite being one of Twitter’s biggest critics, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has bought around 9.2 percent of the social media company, according to NBC News.

“We would expect this passive stake as just the start of broader conversations with the Twitter board/management that could ultimately lead to an active stake and a potential more aggressive ownership role of Twitter,” Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities wrote in a client note early Monday.

Musk, the richest person in the world with a net worth of over $270 billion, has already said on Twitter that he has put “serious thought” into building a competitor to the company.

Musk has been open about his criticism of the social media platform, asserting that it “serves as the de facto public town square, failing to adhere to free speech principles [and] fundamentally undermin[ing] democracy.”

Russia denies photos from satellites over Ukraine as evidence of “war crimes”

Recent social media videos and photos have shown bodies lying out in the streets of Bucha, Ukraine, for weeks; high-resolution satellite images of the area from Maxar Technologies have substantiated those claims, according to Fox News

Following the outrage from western leaders, even President Biden has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of “committing a war crime.”

Russia has since demanded a meeting of the U.N security council claiming that there are “provocations of Ukrainian radicals” in Bucha and it still dismisses the images as “another hoax”.
