Lady Frogs host NC State tomorrow

The TCU women’s basketball team will return to Daniel-Meyer Coliseum  to host the North Carolina State Wolfpack Sunday, Nov. 20 at 1 p.m.

The Lady Frogs are coming off a 47-38 loss to crosstown rival SMU. TCU holds a 1-2 record and is looking to improve to 2-0 in the DMC this season.

NC State comes into the game with a perfect 2-0 record after beating UNC Wilmington 83-64 Wednesday.

The Frogs are a young squad and have already played five freshmen this year. Natalie Ventress became only the seventh Frog to start a season opener as a freshman.

The Lady Frogs  have shared the ball this season. Senior Antoinette Thompson led the team with 23 points against Georgia while freshman Jazz Parker dropped 14 on UTSA. All but two Frogs have scored this season.

Last time TCU was at the DMC, they forced 24 turnovers and held UTSA to 13.3 percent shooting from the floor.

The Wolfpack  is led by All-ACC senior forward Bonae Holston. She posted the 19th double-double of her career against UNC Wilmington . Freshman Krystal Barrett of Dallas, Texas, put up 19 points.

NC State has 11 lettermen, including four starters, returning to a squad that finished 10th in the ACC last season.

This will be the second meeting between TCU and NC State. The Wolfpack won the first matchup 76-62 in 2009.
