The TCU baseball team will start the 2013 season ranked in the preseason for the seventh time in 10 years at No. 15 in the Collegiate Baseball poll.

TCU finished the 2012 season ranked as high as No. 14. The Frogs have been ranked 15th or higher in each of the last four preseason polls. Since coach Jim Schlossnagle took over the program ten years ago, the Frogs have been ranked No. 21 or higher seven times.

The Frogs return 17 letterwinners from a 2012 squad that finished 40-22 and ended the season in the NCAA Super Regional after winning the NCAA College Station Regional title. Eight pitchers and five field starters return from last season. TCU added 16 new athletes to the roster with a recruiting class ranked No. 11 in the nation by Baseball America.

The 2013 season will feature 12 games against opponents ranked in the top 25 including a season-opening road trip to No. 25 Ole Miss on Feb. 15. The home opener for the Frogs will feature a weekend series against No. 23 Cal State Fullerton. Big 12 opponents Oklahoma (No. 14) and Texas (No. 21) are also ranked in the preseason.
