Almost a week and a-half after shocking the Kansas Jayhawks, the TCU men’s basketball team has yet to find the win column.

During the first half against West Virginia, TCU led by as many as five. The Frogs took the lead once in the second half of the 63-50 loss. That lead lasted for 36 seconds.

The Frogs posted a program-worst 11 points in the first half Monday against Oklahoma. The Sooners pounded the Frogs 75-48.

Forward Connell Crossland has been a bright spot for the Frogs, earning the Big 12 Player of the Week award for his performances against Kansas and the Mountaineers.

Crossland posted 10.5 points per game on 50 percent shooting and 12 rebounds. He was the first men’s basketball player to earn the weekly Big 12 honor.

Against the Sooners, Crossland claimed his fourth double-digit outing (10 points) in six games. Before hitting this streak, he had only scored in double figures twice through 50 career games.

Crossland and the Frogs will try to snap their two-game losing streak against an Iowa State team that is looking to do the same.

Iowa State fell to Texas 89-86 in double overtime Wednesday where Cyclone forward Melvin Ejim posted 20 points and career-high 16 rebounds. Ejim leads the Big 12 with 9.7 boards per game.

TCU fell to Iowa State 63-50 in Fort Worth on Jan. 19, where three Frogs scored in double digits. The Cyclones had four players in double digits and Ejim grabbed 12 rebounds.

The 63 points were a season-low for the Cyclones until a 56-51 loss to Texas Tech on Jan. 23. Since then, the Cyclones have not scored below the 70-point mark.

Iowa State has the conference’s best scoring offense (78.6 points) and 3-point percentage (.364). TCU sits in the bottom of the conference in scoring (54.0).

The Frogs and Cyclones will tip-off at 12:30 p.m. Saturday from Hilton Coliseum. The Big 12 Network will televise the game.
