Men’s golf prepares for U.S. Intercollegiate in Northern California

The No. 8 men's golf team will travel to Palo Alto, CA and compete in the 45th annual U.S. Intercollegiate tournament hosted by Stanford Thursday through Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course.

The three round competition will begin each day with double-tee starts off holes one and 10 beginning at 8 a.m. PDT.

The Stanford Golf Course, designed in 1930, measures 6,727 yars and features a par score of 71.

TCU is one of three top-10 squads competing at this year's tournament. They are joined by No. 7 USC and No. 10 Stanford. Seven of the other 14 teams are listed among the nations top 60 squads.

The Frogs will feature its usual five-man lineup with sophomore Julien Brun, first- year Paul Barjon and seniors Daniel Jennevret, Eli Cole and Pontus Gad. Each of the five Horned Frogs are listed among the nation's top-200 golfers, with Brun leading the way at No. 6, according to Golfweek.

Stanford and USC will be the toughest challengers for the indiviual title with two competitors each listed in the top-50 golfers. Stanford has No. 9 Patrick Rodgers and No. 17 Cameron Wilson, while USC showcases No. 27 Yi Keun Chang and No. 40 Anthony Paolucci.

The Frogs are returning to the course after recording their fifth top-3 finish last week in their past six spring tournaments.

Sophomore All-American Brun tied his collegiate single-season record with his third individual victory in Tucson at the Don Puckette National Invitational Tournament last week.

The Frogs finished the final-day off strong at the Arizona tournament last week and placed all five of its individuals on the top half of the leaderboard, and claimed runner-up in team play, just one stroke behind leader New Mexico.
