The TCU women's tennis team will travel to Oklahoma to play against the Oklahoma State Cowgirls Friday.

The No. 32 Horned Frogs improved to 16-2 and 5-0 in Big 12 play with their win against Kansas this past weekend.

Stefanie Tan was named TCU's Athlete Of The Week for her wins against both of her singles opponents. She defeated Kansas State’s Petra Niedermayerova, ranked No. 11 in the nation, in three sets, making it her first win over a top-15 ranked opponent.

The sophomore also got her first doubles win with partner Olivia Smith against Kansas’s Maria Jose Cardona and Dylan Windom 8-1.

"If we play well, then it's in our own hands," head coach Dave Borelli said. "After that it's up in the air. Every match we just have to compete and do the best we can."

The Cowgirls won their last two matches against Iowa State and West Virginia and improved to 12-5, 4-2 in Big 12 play this season.

Despite the past two wins, the Cowgirls dropped in rankings to No. 33.

Oklahoma State senior Malika Rose continues to make an appearance in rankings at No. 60 in singles and No. 37 in doubles with partner Kanyapat Narattana.

The match is set to start at 3 p.m. at the DeBois Tennis Complex in Still
