TCU student Anne Bowe dies

TCU senior nursing major Anne Bowe died Wednesday morning at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, according to Tarrant County Medical Examiner records.

Medical Examiner records indicate that Bowe's time of death was 10:55 a.m.

Bowe’s cause of death is not listed on the medical examiner records at this time.

Bowe, who went by Annie, was a member of TCU ROTC and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She was 20 years old. The Frog Calls directory indicates that her hometown was Argyle, Texas.

Acording to her obituary, funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30, at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel in Columbus, Ohio. Bowe's family requests that donations be made to Project Bliss, a non-profit that provides treatment for people with eating and behavioral health issues.

“We are saddened to lose such a wonderful member and friend,” TCU Zeta president Caroline Gayler said Friday in a press release. “Annie was a sweet and loving young woman. Her laughter and smile could brighten a room.”

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Kathy Cavins-Tull released a written statement about Bowe’s death Thursday morning.

“It is with a heavy heart that I convey to you the loss of a member of our community this week,” Cavins-Tull wrote. “We are saddened by the loss of a valued member of our community and our thoughts and prayers are with Anne’s family at this time.”
