Fans get autographs, spend time with team at Meet the Frogs

Horned Frog football fans showed their support and spirit at the annual Meet the Frogs event on Saturday at the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility.

Young and old Frog enthusiasts had the opportunity to meet and get autographs and photos with TCU head coach Gary Patterson and current football players.

TCU graduate Jim Vaughan is no stranger to the Meet the Frogs event. Saturday was his fifth year attending, and he has been a season ticket holder since 1982, he said.

“This is a tradition for me," Vaughan said. "I’m all about TCU football and sports. I embrace TCU football so much. It’s my passion.”

Junior tight end Stephen Bryant and junior corner back Kevin White both said they were excited about the turnout at this year’s Meet the Frogs.

“This is probably the most people I’ve seen since I’ve been here. It just goes to show that when we have success a lot of fans will come out and support,” White said.

Attendees and players also had the opportunity to view the new uniforms for this season, which were officially unveiled Friday.

“I think they have a lot of flare,” Bryant said. “Coach P has been bringing new things in since I’ve been here the last four years, and every time it has been something new. I think it gives us a little bit of swag, and I think it fired everybody up.”

Casey Pachall’s grandmother, Peggy Pachall, also liked the new uniforms.

“I think they are really neat,” Pachall said. “They did a really good job.”

Meet the Frogs is held every year on the weekend before the season opener.

Saudia Harper, who attended the event, said she is excited for the upcoming season.

“I’m looking forward to the LSU-TCU game,” Harper said. “I will be there front and center.”
