Rifle tops JSU


    The TCU rifle team beat Jacksonville State University by three points Friday night.

    The team had an aggregate score of 4,656, with freshman Sally Li finishing with a personal best aggregate score of 1,172.

    Li finished in first place in air rifle, shooting a 591 (99-99-97-98-100-98).

    Li also tied for the match-high in smallbore with a score of 581 (193 kneeling, 197 prone, 191 standing). Sophomore Hannah Black matched Li’s score for the tie, shooting 581 overall (192 kneeling, 199 prone, 190 standing).

    TCU beat JSU by two points in smallbore and held onto the lead with a one-point win in air rifle.

    TCU will play its fourth match at home Sunday when they face the UTEP.
