The TCU women’s basketball team eked out a 61-60 win over Iowa State on the road Wednesday night.

Junior forward Chelsea Prince scored a team-high 17 points and sophomore guard Zahna Medley added 16 points of her own.

The Frogs improve to 13-9 overall and 4-6 in Big 12 play. They had lost three straight games coming into Wednesday’s contest.

The Cyclones (16-6, 5-6 Big 12) have lost six of their last eight games.

Senior center Latricia Lovings grabbed 14 rebounds in the win and added five blocks to her already impressive total. She has now blocked a shot in 61 consecutive games, which is one shy of tying Sandora Irvin’s record.

TCU’s next contest is Saturday afternoon against Texas Tech. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. CT.
