Prize vault event to be hosted by theCrew

TheCrew brought Elvis and rock ‘n’ roll to campus, hosted a fiesta night with tacos and a mariachi band, and even a fancy black and white event; and they have done it all before October.

On Wednesday, TCU students can expect to see a prize vault they can get into, and attempt to grab coupons redeemable for prizes.

“We’ve never had anything like this before,” said assistant director of student activities and head of theCrew Brad Thompson.

The activity originally planned for the date was laser tag; however contract issues will prevent that from happening, said Thompson. It was set to take place in the Brown Lupton University Union auditorium.

Only one person will be allowed into the prize vault at a time, and no actual money will be included inside, Thompson said. The event will be located at Frog Fountain, and will last from 9 -11 p.m.

On Sept. 18, there will be another event called swinging into the school year. It will be located in the Campus Commons, begin at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.

Crew leader and junior political science major Alicia James said “It will include hammocks and zip lines, and maybe even swing sets.”
