Snubbed women’s basketball settles for WNIT

Snubbed womens basketball settles for WNIT

Despite a strong finish to the 2014-15 regular season, the Frogs became the first team in Big 12 history to finish third in the conference and not make the NCAA tournament.

The season is not over for Raegan Pebley’s squad, however, as TCU made it into the field of 64 for the Women’s National Invitational Tournament.

This is the second consecutive season that the Frogs will appear in the WNIT. Last year, TCU was bounced by Colorado in the first round of the WNIT.

This year’s Frogs won three of their last four regular season games, but ended the season with back-to-back losses against Texas, the second coming in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament.

TCU will play host to Stephen F. Austin on Thursday at the University Recreation Center. The game will be played at 7 p.m.
