The TCU Ultimate teams are one step closer to booking their tickets to the regional tournament in Denver, Colorado.

Tuesday night, the House of Student Representatives passed a bill to give the teams $5,000 to fund their trip.

Team representatives addressed the House regarding their teams’ success this season. Success they hope will carry them into regional competition.

The men’s team, High Noon, is 15-6 in regular season play while the women’s team, Grapes of Wrath, are 14-6 on the season.

They hope to fly 35 players to regionals, 20 men and 15 women. Due to the proximity to finals week, they captains felt it more appropriate for the team to fly as opposed to driving.

TCU Ultimate’s trip to Denver will total just under $15,000. They received $5,000 from the Student Government Association, which is contingent upon them advancing past sectional competition.

The team recently hosted a profit-share with Raising Cane’s on University Drive to help raise money for the trip. In addition, the team is selling old apparel and has plans to have another profit-share in the coming weeks.

TCU Ultimate will compete in the Texas Conference Championships in Austin on April 11 and 12 with hopes of receiving bids to the regional tournament in Denver.
